Whether you need us for conceptual development and design consulting, or you want a team to specify custom pieces and handle the budgeting, purchasing and delivery logistics of every piece
of furniture and hardware, we’ll work with you to make your vision of your space come to life.

While some services are charged at hourly fees, others are figured as cost-plus-percentage-markup or a percentage of the total construction budget.

Tell us about your project and we’ll help you decide which services best suit your design and your budget needs.

DESIGN PROCESS

If you have ever been involved in the building or remodeling process, you know that it can be a complicated undertaking. Interior designers and architects have developed an industry standard problem-solving sequence to follow. It's not just a theoretical or academic notion, this sequence can be applied to any design project no matter how large or small. By adhering to the sequence, the designer can help you prevent mistakes, save time, and provide a clear idea of next steps.

  • IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM

This phase is called Programming by design professionals. This is the stage when the designer and the client determine the technical and design constraints. Conversation, direct communication and feedback are crucial.

  • PROPOSE SOLUTIONS

Often called Schematics, it is during this phase that the designer begins the preliminary sketching and designing. The initial design concepts are also developed using the information obtained from the client in the programming phase.

  • CHOOSE A SOLUTION & REFINE

This, the Design Development phase, is when the designer prepares exhibits and samples to simulate the appearance of the finished space. You can now begin to see how the final design will  look. The designer and client choose one solution to refine from the rough preliminary designs.

  • RECORD THE ACTIONS REQUIRED

Contract Documentation is the term that professionals use for this phase. The designer may prepare construction drawings with detailed drawings of the way components such as cabinets are to be fabricated. Finish Schedules and written Specifications are also prepared during this phase.

  • IMPLEMENT THE SOLUTION

During the Contract Administration phase, orders are placed and construction takes place. The designer may assist by tracking orders and observing the construction for compliance with the design documents.
